Escaping the sickness
I chose my new video, not only because I am a Death Cab fanatic but because these lyrics mean a lot to me. It may seem like he is just stating random things about swimming and stuff but I took such a deeper meaning from it and have gotten some person encouragement from it.
For example.. Soul Meets Body... is there a place where they meet? My body is wearing down but is my soul? They are connected but how much control over that do we have? Psysiological affects and how much of that is from disease?
I can see my best friend singing me this song.. or me singing it to her if anything were to happen to her health. "I do believe it's true that there are roads left in both of our shoes but if the silence takes you then I hope it takes me too so brown eyes I'll hold you near cuz you're the only song I want to hear a melody softly soaring through my atmosphere where soul meets body"
... In a round about way, what I derived from this song is that utimately, even though life has its uncertainties and sometimes all that you can see is your very next step and hope you don't trip...So follow the roads that the soles of your shoes can still carry and don't be held back because life is a bitch but keep on living just as you would have. "I cannot guess what we will discover. I know our filthy hands can wash one anothers and not one speck will remain."
I'm not even sure that anyone will read this entire thing. It's fine with me.. I just wanted to get it out into the atmosphere that I am not going to be beat
